Nokia N81 (8GB version)

Network : UMTS / GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
Display : TFT, 16M colors
Call records : Detailed, max 30 days
Card slot : No, 8 GB internal flash memory
Data Connections: GPRS, EDGE, 3G, WLAN, USB.
OS : Symbian OS 9.2, Series 60 v3.1 UI
Camera : 2 MP, 1600x1200 pixels, video(VGA 15fps), flash; secondary CIF videocall camera
Nokia 81 is truely a great handset, and is recommended to every Nokia [Symbian Lover]. A Great device, in other way the Nokia N81 is a challenge to "Apple's iPOD or iPhone's" sound quality.
Nokia 81 a Smart looking handset (well finished) with shiny metal body is a glossy product. The best thing which impressed me was the "Sound Quality" in Headphones. The sound quality of Nokia N81 seemed a bit better than that of Apple's iPhone.
The loudspeaker of Nokia N 81 - 8 GB surprisingly have the BEST Sound Quality. I can say that, when compared to Sony Ericsson's W810 (or some later models) the sound quality of Nokia N 81 seemed better than SE's handsets.
Sound Quality is the most surprising thing (atleast for Nokia) since all previous handsets had Mediocre sound quality in Headphones and Poor quality in Loudspeaker. But this time Nokia has came up with really something above all. Great sound quality in Headphones as well as in Loudspeaker.
2MP camera is a mediocre. Not very good at quality (as expected), but however is reliable for taking outdoor images.
The speed of handset while browsing through the menu's is really very fast, just works as fast as any other DUMMY (without OS) handset like Sony Ericssons's W or K series or Samsung's handsets (sorry for calling them DUMMY but they really are since they do not have any OS).
I would recommend Nokia N81-8GB edition to every Music lover, because of its outstanding SOUND QUALITY which place it on the top of the list of best music phones.

NEC’s SX-9 is the World’s Most Powerful Supercomputer

NEC has thrown down the world’s most powerful supercomputer, called the SX-9, which is intended for pioneering scientific research. The beast of a machine can pull out an astonishing 839 trillion floating point operations / second (839 teraflops). I guess once these Mean Machines become affordable you may find them even with home users :-)

Vaio NR11Z: A budget Vaio. Yes, that's right
Calling all cheapskates: Sony's flogging a range of laptops known as the Vaio NR11 series, with a starting price of around £550.
Currently playing with the top-of-the-range (£649) VGN-NR11Z/S, which has a 2GHz dual-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, 200GB hard drive, and a 15.4-inch screen. The only weak addition is an Intel X3100 graphics card, but a laptop this cheap is never going to play games, is it?
The Sony Web site describes the NR11Z as "stylish practicality", and it's not far off the mark. I wouldn't call it attractive, but the textured, silver chassis has an industrial look that should appeal to anyone who's fed up with the pervasive piano-black movement.Posted by Gadget Freak at 08:49 0 comments
Dell XPS M1730: SLI with added PhysX

Dell has recently announced what could be the greatest ever gaming laptop. The XPS M1730 is the first to feature a dedicated PhysX card alongside a pair of Nvidia SLI graphics adaptors.
For those not in the know, the Ageia PhysX Accelerator 100M is designed to handle complex physics processing in 3D games. It leaves the CPU free to focus on other tasks as it processes collisions, particle effects and all manner of other graphical niceties.
The XPS M1730's 17-inch screen can be cranked all the way up to 1,920x1,200 pixels, so you can enjoy 1080p 'Full HD' -- an unusual feature for a portable PC. Driving games at this resolution would need a hefty graphics solution, so it's no surprise to find twin GeForce Go 8700 GS cards are an option. Oh, and you can get a ludicrously fast Intel Core 2 Extreme X7900 CPU and 4GB of RAM too.
It's littered with other features. There's up to 500GB of disk space (or an optional 32GB solid-state hard drive) and optional Blu-ray drive. There's even a front-lit keyboard like on Lenovo laptops, HSDPA mobile broadband, and four different colours: black, blue, red and white.
It's available now from £1,479 from the Dell site.

HP Pavilion HDX9000
The HP Pavilion HDX9000 Notebook is truly one of the best notebooks around. However, it does tend to deviate from the purpose of notebooks - that of portability. The HDX9000 features a large widescreen display that could be well-suited as a desktop replacement rather than a traveling companion.
As an entertainment powerhouse that will replace your desktop computer the performance and appearance of the HP Pavilion HDX seems to match up to its billing. It is one of the best 20-inch laptop on the market.
Its pros include: Fastest Intel components available. River of LED-lit multimedia keys. HD TV tuner. Options for HD DVD-ROM and WUXGA screen in the summer. Good gaming scores. Best design for a 20-inch laptop. Great range of screen positions.
Its cons on the other hand are these: Back-breaking monster of a laptop. Huge AC adapter. Exorbitant price tag.

Rock's Xtreme 770 {Ultimate performance gaming laptops and notebooks}
The tag line says it all - 'Ultimate performance gaming laptops and notebooks'
Today i was browsing the web to see some cutting edge laptop gaming machines and came across this beast :)
The Xtreme 770 is Rock's latest flagship notebook. Featuring Intel Core 2 Duo processors, nVidia 8700M GT graphics, 17in screens, and 7,200rpm hard drive as standard and with a minimum of 1GB of RAM, these machines are all about size and speed. But, starting at as little as £1,199, they're also good value and make a good case for a true desktop replacement.
The range is split up into three models dictated by the type of processor sitting inside them. At the bottom of the pile is the X770-T7300, which uses an Intel Core 2 Duo T7300, the middle part is the X770-T7500, and the top end version goes by the name of X770-T7700. Check out the company site for more specific details.
